An eco-friendly manufacturer who makes smart kitchen control ventilation systems approached Blaze with the need for a low-cost RTD. In their kitchen hoods which see daily high temperatures and grease conditions, they wanted the units to be able to quickly detect grease flare-ups and temperature spikes. They also wanted to automate these kitchen systems, based on temperature detection, to save their customers energy use as well as money.
Blaze worked with the manufacturer to design a custom low-cost resistance temperature detector (RTD) sensor to solve their issue. It met all of their needs and has been installed in these kitchen systems since 2004.
